Zimbabwe National Army Command and Organisational Structure
The Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) is the land force component of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces which was established in 1980 through an Act of parliament Defence Act Chapter 94 later revised to Defence Act Chapter 11:02 which governs the structure of the organisation, administration and deployment. The ZNA is commanded by a Lieutenant General assisted by three (3) Major Generals appointed as Chiefs of Staff responsible for Operations and Training, Administration and Logistics. The Commander ZNA and the three Chiefs of Staff constitute the ZNA Command Council. Below this structure are five (5) staff branches headed by Brigadier Generals which are Operations, Training, Administration, Logistics and Inspectorate. The ZNA has combat, training and support units located in all the provinces of Zimbabwe.
